Code of Conduct Committee
Our President, Eric Andrea, along with our Executive Board has decided to form a committee to address a long standing problem within our Local. The Committee is to be called "Code of Conduct Committee" and it will be dealing with our members who take work on the road and due to their misconduct cause a lot of harm to Local 1852.
When one of our members shows up for work while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, it reflects poorly on our local. We have had members misbehave so badly that our entire Local was blackballed from receiving any more calls from that particular Local.
The committee will have the authority to either level fines or to impose a ban on traveling on any member found guilty of messing up while on the road.
Every member who takes a call from our hall will be made aware of the informatin of the Code of Conduct Committee and of the consequences of messing up while working out of another Local.
The sole purpose of this committee is not to impose penalties on any of our members but rather to help act as a deterrent to our members and keep them from messing up while on the road.
